General Info

Sunwing Check-in
Check-in opens three hours before departure and closes one hour before the flight is scheduled to take off.

Sunwing baggage allowance
Hand luggage: One piece of hand luggage is allowed per customer. The total baggage allowance is 25kg and includes both checked and hand luggage. The piece of hand luggage should not be heavier than 5kg.

It is recommended that passengers bring all of their medication, documentation and valuables including all cash, cameras, jewelery and laptops in the cabin with them as part of their carry- on allowance as Sunwing will not be responsible for their loss, damage or delay. It is also recommended that passengers keep these items in their immediate possession at all times, that all baggage be locked whenever possible and that passengers purchase baggage insurance.

For safety reasons, dangerous articles must not be packed in checked or carry-on baggage. Sunwing assumes no liability for perishables, valuables, jewellery, liquids, business documents, samples, money, securities, negotiable papers, electronic equipment and accessories, cameras, silverware and fragile articles.

Every piece of your checked baggage must be labeled with your name and destination address, we suggest a label should always be placed inside each piece of baggage. We will be pleased to supply you with suitable stickers and labels free of charge. Please attach these to your baggage before departure to avoid unnecessary delays when checking in. Do not forget to remove tags and labels left over from previous flights - they may cause your baggage to be delayed.

Departure
Before presenting your baggage at check-in, passengers are encouraged to lock the baggage. When accepted, each item of checked baggage will be given a destination tag showing your flight number and a receipt portion will be returned to the passenger. Please ensure the tag shows the correct destination and flight number. Do not carry packages with unidentified contents on behalf of other people. If you are asked to do so , contact the local police, customs or member of staff immediately. Checked baggage will be screened by security and matched against the passenger list prior to loading.

Arrival
When claiming your baggage at your destination, many suitcases look the same, please make sure you have collected your own. We recommend that you check the name on the baggage tag and compare it to your receipt.
